Today, as we celebrate our nation’s birthday,on the 4th of July, I would to like share a few photos that fill my heart with American pride. These shots were taken during a recent trip to New York City.
Casual Friday style is much needed today. Because there is a lot to do. It’s the Friday before the July 4th holiday weekend! So, how do you manage all the errands and holiday prep while still remaining stylish? Always, my best advise is to keep it simple. Since, casual Friday means casual dressing and that’s one less thing to attend to on that never ending to do list. Today’s outfit is as casual as it comes. A white pocketed tee shirt, cropped white girlfriend jeans, canvas boat shoes, a couple white accessories, a messy bun hairdo and I’m out the door.
At last, the long 4th of July holiday weekend has arrived!
Today is definitely the day for wearing red. Hearts and flowers along with lots of red are all part of the universal theme for today. The outfit that I am wearing is from a small neighborhood boutique, Down To Earth. The top is by Nally & Millie and the leggings are by LYSSE’. Both of these pieces are so very comfortable.
I’m celebrating this day of love by counting all the blessings of love thatsurround me, family, friends and especially my spouse.
May you all have a beautiful love filled Valentine’s Day!

A Christmas cookie exchange has been scheduled for the December meeting of our community book club. Friends, books, wine and cookies at holiday time and all is well in my world. Oh yeah, I have to bake cookies.
Once upon a time long long ago Christmas baking was a big part of my holiday prep. My Mom, sister and I would gather in one kitchen and bake for a week. Oh what fun we had.
This first weekend of December and I have been busy prepping for the coming holidays! This is a fun and exciting time of year. Also very busy for everyone.
You may have guessed that I am a collector of Santa Claus. You will find him everywhere through out my home at Christmas time.
For me the tree decorating is always a time of reflection. As I unwrap each ornament and place it on the tree, I travel back to earlier Christmas holidays with thoughts of loved ones and friends from past years.
This Santa is always on the very top of our tree. It was my husband’s from when he was a little boy. Like I was saying each ornament tells a different story.
Santa is keeping a list!
And here’s that Jolly Old Elf again.
