Fashion Investment Pieces

Outfits Don’t Have To Be New To Be Current!

 Fashion Investment Pieces Are Timeless!

Because an outfit is fashionable it doesn’t mean that it has to be new. By purchasing good quality, well-made items a basic and lasting wardrobe can be easily built. Consequently, a summer material such as linen is an excellent example of this practice. Today’s featured outfit from my closet is nine years old.

This linen outfit has been residing in my closet since my nephew’s graduation nine summers ago. The jacket and mid-calf-wide leg linen pants were purchased from Chico’s.  Because of the neutral color and breathable fabric of linen, it is still a favorite outfit after all these years.

Moreover, I have styled and restyled this outfit dozens of different ways in the past. Mostly, I have changed the tops under the jacket. Still, on different occasions, I have worn only the pants with nubby summer weight sweaters or print tee. Similarly, this jacket has served me well. Frequently, I have worn it as the topper for many different outfits. All things considered, the elements of versatility and quality are the main components that make fashion investment pieces worthwhile.

Presently, today’s look is being styled by using a current popular neutral, animal print pumps.  Then finishing the look is a darker colored shell, natural jewelry, and a farmer’s market basket.

Ultimately, I personally love the look and feel of linen in the summertime. Consequently, I have worn this outfit many times over the years. Because this outfit is one of my older staples, I have linked comparable items below.

Once again, I thank you for stopping by. Meanwhile, be sure to let me know your thoughts on shopping in your closet.  As always, I love hearing your comments.

Remember to have fun, living and loving life!

    Another restyled outfit!
Yes, if you purchase classic pieces they will last longer than the trendy ones.
How many more years before the ripped jean trend is over! LOL!
