Ready Or Not Fall Fashions Are Here!

Ok gals, ready or not it’s here, the season of fall fashions is upon us. Just look at any fashion website or step into the stores, fall fashion is what it all about. Now for us Southern girls, we have many weeks of hot, humid heat ahead of us. It can make us feel like we are stuck in a corner.

So you ask, “What’s your solution? How do we transition from summer to fall fashions easily?” And the answer for me is ” Let’s keep it simple sweetie!”

On a typical day of casual appointments or running errands, I simply roll up the sleeves of a light colored blouse. I am a lover of the classic button-down blouse/shirt. This pink one that I am wearing is a recent purchase for Chicos.  Then add a pair of dark colored jeans or slacks along with dark ballet flats. By adding one of the trusty colored totes that I have embellished with a colorful scarf, I have taken the heat of accessorizing away from me. And yet I have an understated fashion statement.

As you can see, I have given the job of adding a little glamour to my shoes and bag. These Tory Burch flats are my latest purchase and I love the little bit of embellishment on the toe. Now on the budget side of this outfit, I never pass up a free department store giveaways. My blush colored tote is one such treasure. If I remember correctly, it was a freebie for Mother’s Day with the purchase of perfume. And I have used it many times.

I hope that you have enjoyed our time together and I would love to hear how you make the transition from summer to fall fashions where you live.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. I love it when the gift with purchase is something useful like your bag! It looks extra special with the tied on scarf. Yes, we still have several months of hit, humid weather so we Southern gals transition differently than the rest of the country. Keep it simple – great advice!

    • Indeed September is always a challenging month for us when coordinating our fall wardrobe. We still have a good six weeks of hot temps here in North Florida. Then come mid-October its perfection!
