Travel Thursday: The Beverly Hills Hotel

The Pink Palace

As Hollywood As It Gets

Beverly Hills Hotel

This past week has been an amazing adventure! I’ve seen so many sights and visited so many places in Southern California. And I can’t wait to share them all with you in the coming weeks. First, on my list, I must share my stay at the world famous “Beverly Hills Hotel“.

These peachy pink and green hues are signature colors of one of the world’s most well-known hotels, The Beverly Hills Hotel. Being located at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California, The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows have long been associated with celebrities, rock and film stars since back in the early 1900’s.  I was so excited and fortunate to get to spend a night here.

Upon arriving at my room, the star treatment began with a bottle of Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

Of course, fresh fruit and water are available along with a minibar and in-room dining.

Consequently, each room has its own balcony. Mine is spacious and overlooks the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Sunset Boulevard.

The hotel has 23 bungalows set out along the garden paths. Accordingly, these bungalows have been favorites of stars and celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Warren Beatty, Elizabeth Taylor, John Lennon and Yoko Ono only to name a few. It has even been alleged that several of the bungalows are haunted by previous occupants such as Harpo Marx and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

The dining experience at The Beverly Hills Hotel is superb. Since we had dinner reservations off-site, we stopped for drinks at the Polo Club before dinner. Early, the next morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast on the Polo Patio before starting the day.

I hope that you have enjoyed my little hotel tour. Perhaps, you would enjoy a video tour of the guest room. If so, you can find one at the bottom of this post.

    • Yes, if walls could talk, the stories they would tell. And my imagination was running at full speed. Visiting places the that I’ve only read about is one of the things that I love best about traveling.
