January is perfect boot weather.

 Saturday was a cold winter day by Florida standards. It was 40 degrees and windy with a low of 30 overnight.

I was heading out to for an afternoon of college basketball.

I’m dressing for the weather and comfort.

My denim jeans are paired with my Ralph Lauren riding boots. These boots are all about comfort first.

I layered a  three quarter length sleeve T top from Tommy Bahama and topped it off with a wool blend poncho from Coldwater Creek.

The poncho is several years old.  I have found that ponchos and capes are the perfect alternatives to coat here in North Florida during the winter months.

During the game I folded my cape and placed it in inside my tote.

Simple basics are the best styles for me.
