Hello, here we are coming up to the end of spring break 2021! Isn’t it funny how the dates for Spring Break vary for everyone? It really is a six to eight weeks span of taking one week break from winter and celebrating the coming of warmer weather and springtime. But, it all depends on where you live as to when your break is scheduled. We started our week with Easter Sunday and celebrating three birthdays in a row here all on different days. This year we are in Boca Raton with the family and it has been a lot of fun. So, go grab a cup of your favorite brew and join me on the porch for our Front Porch Coffee Chat.

Celebrating Easter on Spring Break
We started our Easter morning by watching our grandsons have a fun Easter egg hunt in the back yard. Then a scrumptious Easter brunch and a day of catching up as family members dropped by for a visit. Finally, our day was capped off with a delicious Easter dinner with family.
More Good Eats
Like I said earlier we had three separate birthdays to celebrate. And my 11-year-old grandson choose the Melting Pot for his special treat! Can you imagine his 4 grandparents taking instructions on how to fondue your dinner? A night to remember for sure and he was so happy with the cheese and chocolate treats.
Healthy Living with the “LEAN Program”
Now, I have been chatting about all the good food and fun of the past week. But, come Monday I am taking hold and getting started back on the LEAN PROGRAM with intermittent fasting. I have shared a post with all the details here.

One of my favorite highlights of the week is that I got to meet in person and have lunch with my virtual friend Gwen Gottlieb of the blog, Gwen Lives Well. On her blog, she shares the South Florida lifestyle with lots of great food, places to eat, health and wellness, fashion, and her own personal boutique – Shopping with Gigi! Be sure to stop by and follow her. You will be glad you did!

I’m so thrilled to have met you in person, Rosemary! And I know you were busy with family, so thanks for making the time to get together. It was lots of fun, and thanks as well for the shout out for my blog and boutique. I appreciate it- and you- very much. Looking forward to seeing you again on your next visit. xoxo
Gwen,
I am so happy that we were able to meet for lunch and make our virtual friendship a reality! I am looking forward to more visits and chats on the porch!
Until the next time!
Have a great Sunday!
Rosemary
We have spring break this week but so far our weather seems to have forgotten it’s spring! We had beautiful, warm, sunny weather last week that made me want to get out of the house and so far this week we’ve been home snuggling under throw blankets. (though we do have 2 birthdays this week!)
Hi Joanne,
April seems to be a huge birthday month!
I hope your weather improves for spring break. We had gorgeous weather all week. And then storms delayed our return trip home a day on Sunday.
Rosemary
How lovely that you got to enjoy an afternoon with Gwen. I love that about choosing the Melting Pot! My mom used to make fondue often when we were kids, can’t go wrong with melted cheese! 🙂
Sounds like you had a great Easter!

It is wonderful when we get the opportunity to meet our virtual friends in person!
Thanks for shopping by!

I love following along with your blog and heating about your grandchildren. The melt pot sounds like a great gift for a middle aged child I just may follow your lead and gift one to my granddaughter.
Have a wonderful day
Nancy
Nancy,
The Melting Pot is a great dining spot for the grandkids. They love it!
I suggest ordering the cheese and chocolate. It’s a long experience for the young ones and they aren’t too interested in the main course.

I am so happy that you and Gwen met in person!
I love hearing about activities that you do with your grandchildren!
Every time you create a memory, they will remember them!
You are so right about creating memories with our grandkids.
The moments that we get to spend with them are priceless. And I wouldn’t trade them for anything!
I think it is the lesson that, as grandparents, we learned from looking back at our children’s childhood. Priceless!
Thanks for stopping by today!
The Melting Pot is amazing! I make fondue for dinner sometimes and now my oldest is asking to go! That’s wonderful you were able to meet a blogging friend!
Hi Laura,
Thanks for stopping by today!
The Melting Pot is a fun meal and the kids love it!
Evening activity and good food are a treat for everyone!
Rosemary

It’s a gift to meet a virtual friend in the real world.
Hi Carol!
Yes, it was a very special treat to finally meet Gwen in person. The amazing thing is that it felt like we had known each other for years.

I go back and forth with intermittent fasting, but my main goal right now is to cut off the eating early evening. Looks like a fun Easter.
