Coral Works For My Red Dress

I have several upcoming social events on my spring and summer calendar that are described as cocktail attire.  I am growing a little tired of my “little black dresses”.

As I am watching spring unfold with color is all around me, I am feeing like some red. Because of  my hair and skin tone, red is a hard color for me wear. Some shades reds work, but when shopping I find that they are far and few between. Lately I have discovered the color coral. It is great! It has the bright fun of red with just the right tones of peachy pink.  My coral neck chain dress  is by Cache’. I purchased it is several years ago. So, I have linked a couple dresses that are somewhat similar down below. What I love about this particular dress is that it features a bold gold-tone hardware around the neckline which eliminates the need for jewelry. The sheath silhouette makes this an easy piece to wear and is the perfect go-to for any casual occasion. What do you think of the color coral instead of red for that red dress feel?
