Sheltie Pictures On A Simply Sunday

Welcome to this glorious Simply Sunday morning! On this bright and sunny Sunday, I would like to share a wee bit of our mid-January Florida sunshine with you. And the boys, my Shelties, are more than happy to join in the fun and get outside for a run in the 60 degrees sunshine. So here we go as I share a few Sheltie pictures with you.

Shelties are a herding breed which means that they love to run, and run, and run!

Normally, I walk the boys on a leash around my neighborhood, and they love it. But, last year, with the onset of social distancing, many more people were walking by themselves, with their children and dogs too. Sometimes, the boys become very excited, wanting attention, and getting attention. (Hard when social distancing). And so I make it a point to take them out a couple of times during the week and let them run free. They love it!

The proper name for a Sheltie is Shetland Sheepdog. They are lovable, highly intelligent, willing to please, and easily trainable. Over the years, we have had a total of five Shelties in our family. My two boys are now 9, Jake and 10, Rex years old, and we are blessed that they are still pups at heart. Oh, did I mention, they are vocal. They love to tell you when it is dinner time and Rex will even dance for his dinner.

It’s Simply Sunday
