Looking Back At September

Front Porch Coffee Chat

Looking back at September, it began with a bang, and we had a lot of fun! In the first week of September, we celebrated several family birthdays. What a fantastic way to kick off the month! Well, I want to share the details of my month with you. The weather has finally cooled down enough for us to have a comfortable chat. So let’s grab a cup of coffee and head to the front porch for a little chat.

Labor Day

Labor Day arrived on the 7th of September. We enjoyed a get-away to South Florida for the holiday with lots of good food, sunshine, and fun!

When looking back at September I remember pending relaxing time on the water.

What better way to practice social distancing than in a boat on the water with family? This is our first trip away from home since March.

I love the red, white, and blue, patriotic table decorations for our Labor Day Celebration! And the food is oh so good all weekend long!

Looking Back At My September Goals

Two women getting ready for a walk.

With the arrival of September, my thoughts and goals are turning to living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. If you should like to see my plan, you can check it out here. As a report on my progress, I am weighting myself every seven weeks. But, I am feeling lighter and less boated. And the bonus is my allergies are much improved. I am not feeding them with dairy, sugar, and Gluten. What a difference a healthy diet makes!

Decorating For Autumn

Looking back at September and the autumn decorations on the front porch.

As I am looking back at the beginning of September, I see how little by little my home decorations begin to take on the flavor of Fall. My Impatient plants are begining to wilt and are being replaced by Mums and Pumpkins.

During September, I am decorating with pumpkins and mums. When October rounds around, I will be adding some Halloween spirit for the kids. And, then the Turkeys will make their appearance the first of November as I keep building on the original September theme.

A Quick Look At Some Pumpkin Decorations.

September’s Fashion Finds

This month’s fashion feature is my little black and white polka dot dress from Amazon. In my blog post “Why I Love My Polka Dot Tunic Dress From Amazon”, I have shown how to accessorize this tunic dress several different ways. You can read the entire post here.

  1. September was fun for you and that getaway looked fabulous with tantalising food. We do not go in for big decorating for fall/autumn here in Ireland. I love yours.

    • Nancy,

Yes, September when by in the blink of an eye!
But, I am looking forward to October. We have lots to be grateful for in the month of October. Anniversary and birthdays to celebrate!
