Remember back in the day when we were singing, “Forever in Blue Jeans.” Indeed denim jeans are forever on trend with all ages. But, trends do change from year to year. Last year we were completely sold on skinny jeans. And I will not be giving up on my skinny jeans. But, trends do change and I am finding myself venturing into the wider legs and loving them. So, today I am sharing a few denim trends for women over 50.
Flared Legged Jeans
Yes, the wide legs are back and I am loving them!
When wearing wider-legged jeans it is important to remember the rules of balance. Say goodbye to longer tunic tops. Now is the time to tuck in your blouse or wear a bodysuit.
And bring out your belts to accessorize the waist. Then add a chunky shoe or stylish heel for a fun and fresh denim trend!
Trending Details On Denim
Stylish denim trends are in the details. Details like this blue and white ribbon accent on the legs bring the fashion statement to the next level. These jeans have a straight, wider, ankle-length cut.
High Waisted Straight Leg Jeans
Now for a classic look, nothing beats the style and comfort of the high-waisted straight-legged jeans. Just add a white blouse and loafers for that every day – always an on-trend look!
Skinny Legged Jeans
Now, back to the beginning and the skinny-legged jeans, I love them! And you will continue to see me wearing them. Because my body type is short-waisted with long skinny legs.
Remember, trends come and go. So always dress to fit your body and lifestyle. It is fun to step outside our comfort box. But don’t stray from what looks good on you.
That’s the difference between Style and Fashion.

Hi Rosemary! I love all the styles you’ve selected. I’m really loving the darker wash these days. Also, I got rid of all my skinny jeans and tbh, I miss them! I think they’re a staple even though “they” say skinny jeans are out lol. Thanks for sharing.
In the past, I have gotten rid of what was out-of-style jeans.
Lucky for me, I stored my older jeans away in the last couple of closet clean-outs.
And guess what? I am finding jeans that I love once again.
