Well, gang, fall has officially arrived, and summer is behind us. So now it’s time to get serious about our health and wellness routine. Because before we know it, the holiday season will soon be upon us. Fall is the perfect time to be outside, enjoying the fresh air, sunshine, and calm, crisp fall breezes. So let’s take a look at how to reset your wellness routine for fall.
As the seasons change, I prioritize taking time and reevaluating my health and wellness routine. And I have shared my progress with you in former posts. I started this year by sharing some wellness tips, “Being Healthy In the New Year.”
Make A Plan – Set Reasonable Goals
First thing, as we begin to think about a health reset and maintaining healthy habits, we need to make a plan. Once we have a plan, then we can set reasonable goals.
- Define goals: What are your goals? Weight loss, weight gain? Build muscle? Weight training? It’s all about you and your specific needs.
- Make a plan: Planning and executing it is key to success. Research and find a plan that best fits your goals to reset your wellness routine for fall.
- Schedule your wellness appointments with your doctor, dentist, and other health care professionals.
- 🛑Remember to always check with your doctor before starting any new programs.
Eat WELL To Reset Your Wellness Routine
Lots of Fruits and Vegetables
Enjoy the foods of the season! Now is the time of year to enjoy all those delicious fall fruits and veggies. Think fresh apples, oranges, and pears. And veggies such as sweet potatoes, and pumpkins are everywhere, and we do love the nutritous squashes in fall. Always remember to fill your plate with healthy fruits and vegetables for a healthy wellness routine for fall.
There are many lots of recipes online and in books available to make eating well tasty and easy.
Follow an Anti-Inflammation Diet
As a way to reset my wellness routine for fall I am following an Anti-Inflammatory Diet. Because it is all about making good food choices while eating well.
Are you aware that infamation in the body is the cause of many serious diseases? Fortunately there are numerous ways to reduce inflammation in the body. And a good diet is one. Learn more about inflammation here.
Intermittent Fasting
Over the past few years, I have shared posts with you as I work with Amanda Nighbert – registered dietitian and the LEAN Program of intermittent fasting and exercise. This program works well for me. Once a year, I like to do a refresh for 5 to 7 weeks. The program is on line through social media And the daily accountably is what I need and it works to get me aware and back in the groove.
If you are interested in intermittent fasting and the LEAN PROGRAM, the next round of LEAN with Amanda is starting soon.

Work With A Buddy or Group
Staying social is healthy both for our mental and physical wellness. Ultimately, working with a buddy or a group provides excellent motivation. For your workout routine there are many things you can do. For instance, you may want to join a gym and take some classes. Or maybe you will create a schedule for an activity such as walking with a friend. And you are always free to workout at home. Thankfully, the options are limitless. Plus it’s fun!
Stay Active
In conclusion, as a plan to reset your wellness routine for fall, let’s stay active. Start small with baby steps and activities to fit your personal needs. Staying active is shown to relieve stress, aid in sleep, and improve your overall health.

Great tips! We’re coming into spring here and my wellness has definitely gone backwards over winter – time to make some changes!
Cat, changes of seasons are great motivators for fresh starts!

Great advice Rosemary because a lot of people do less exercise in fall and winter because it’s easier to make excuses! Thanks for linking.
I totally agree with you about making excuses. It is such an easy thing to do. Regrettably, one excuse leads to another and then another.
I am going to have to start bundling up a little for my walks and runs. Mornings are cold and evening are cooling down!

Mireille,
The cooler temperatures are so welcome here in Florida. Our summertime humidity makes us reluctant to go outside and exercise.
Great tips! Intermittent fasting has helped me with my metabolism.

Lovely,
Intermittent fasting has been key to me resetting my metabolism too. My glucose levels stay in range, and my appetite is in control.

It is a wonderful post. http://www.fooddoz.com
Enjoyed your post! I love veggies, so I go after the acorn squashes, butternut squashes and all of the yummy soup recipes. We have a treadmill and weight etc at home, so some days I choose inside workouts and other days outside. I think attainable goals are the key!
