How To Wear A Sweatsuit

Fall has arrived, and the days are getting shorter. Pumpkins are appearing on front porches along with goblins, witches, and Halloween greetings. Many of us are spending more time in the kitchen cooking up delicious fall dishes. Yes, it is fall we are ready to get cozy at home. And as I get comfy, I am going to show you how I wear a sweatsuit at home.

Welcome to Fall

As the weather starts taking a cooler turn I begin to dress a bit warmer. Because I work from home, I thrive to be comfortable and stylish at the same time. I want to be ready to run a few quick errands or greet the occasional visitors, delivery person, or video chat.

Lightweight Sweatsuit

I enjoy wearing a lightweight sweatsuit while working from home. And, I have found a great selection of sweatshirts and sweatpants. And I am sharing them with you later in the post. My preference is to have an un-banded, loose-fitting top and slim-cut sweatpants. This styling is not the old gym-style sweatsuit that we remember from years past.

One of my favorite ways to step up my style when I wear a sweatsuit is to style it with Mary Janes instead of ordinary sneakers. I have been a huge fan of Mary Janes for years. They are the perfect shoe for wearing to yoga practice. So easy on and easy off. Plus, they look amazing with skirts and dresses. Definitely not your average active shoe. And I love wearing them! I shared my love for Mary Janes in a previous post.

Fortunately, wearing a sweatsuit is easy. The hard part is getting outside of your head. That is letting go of the thought that a sweatsuit is an excuse to be sloppy. Just think about your sweatsuit as a basic top and bottom. Next, get dressed for the day as you would with any other outfit. Be creative. Add, some accessories or unexpected shoes. Now you are set!

Dressed Up In Sweats

See how easy it is to dress up in sweats. This outfit is from the same Lou & Grey line. The difference is the cut of the leg and the shorter sleeve.

    • It would be wonderful manufactures included petites and tall sizes in their selections.
I do love the Lou and Grey because they are so soft!
