Styling Sleeveless Tops – Ageless Style

Hi there and welcome to Summer! The ladies from our Ageless Style group suggested we style sleeveless tops for our June collaboration. And that is a brilliant suggestion for this first week of Summer 2022! Unfortunately, many ladies have a few misplaced ideas about what is and isn’t appropriate to wear at a certain age. One of those ideas is, “I can’t wear sleeveless tops.” So what could be more enlightening than watching the Ageless Style group of friends and seeing their creative ways of styling sleeveless tops!

Well the idea of weathering the summer months and never wearing sleeveless tops is clearly not a good idea. So go ahead and stay cool while showing your bare arms. They are clearly a very important part of your unique body. Just think about it for a moment. These precious arms are so useful for the joys and jobs of everyday living and truly a blessing.

So let’s forget about the size, shape, coloring, or whatever we don’t like about our arms. And let’s concentrate on styling our favorite sleeveless tops.

How To Style Sleeveless Tops

First: Find a good quality sleeveless top that fits your body and lifestyle.

Second: One of the best ways to take attention away from certain areas is to add accessorizes. Eye-catching jewelry, hats, belts, and handbags are just a few ideas.

Third: Our goal is to divert the eye away from the arms.

Fourth: Shoes and hemlines bring the eye down.

Lastly: Remember to enjoy your day and your look!

    • When we stop and think about it, it is amazing how we shame ourselves into being uncomfortable. And age really has nothing to do with it. We must stop comparing negatives and re-enforce the positives!

  2. I hate my arms but I’m stuck with them. Thanks for the great tip about eye catching accessories to draw away attention. It’s too hot in summer to wear sleaves we need to be comfortable and confident right 🙂

    • Nancy,

The secret is no one is looking at our perceived flaws.😉
Did you happen to notice my thick waist and rounded tummy?🤣

  3. I am late to the party but so happy I stopped by. This is my favorite outfit! Love the way you styled it with the straw hat/purse accent and a pop of color with the pants. Also, I just love your attitude towards baring your arms and your perspective on how to look at our arms and all that they do each day. Brilliant. Hope you are having a fantastic week!

    • Michele,

Remember no one has a perfect body and we all see our perceived imperfections. But no one else cares.
