What To Wear On Fall Outings – Ageless Style

Hi there, and happy Thursday, everyone. The weather is unseasonably cool here in North Florida this week. Plus, the weekends are filled with loads of fun fall activities. There are football games, pumpkin patches, along with arts and crafts shows happening and in full swing. So it feels perfect as I join my gal-friends in our October- Ageless Style collaboration. This month we are discussing “What to Wear On Fall Outings.”

Basics Are Best When Heading Out On Most Fall Events!

From past experiences, I find that sticking to the basics is best when I am going on fall outings. First and foremost, I insist on a comfortable shoe or boot. Why? Because these delightful fall activities most often are outdoors and include a lot of walking.

Here, I am wearing denim bootcut jeans and a knit top from Coldwater Creek.

Now for a splash of fall colors and a bit more style, I am adding a lightweight sleeveless vest. I am in love with the colors in the print and the tiny owl hiding in the design.

Of course, as the fall season progresses, the temps do get a bit cooler. Not to worry, this basic fall outfit can be quickly warmed up with a colorful quilted jacket. And now you are dressed for your favorite fall events regardless of the temps.

    • I too love the fall season along with its fashions. The temps are not too hot and not too cold. And so perfect for showing off our favorite outfits.

  1. Three very different and versatile looks but my favorite has to be the second one with that lovely vest. Those colors are so pretty on you. And I am a sucker for a print. Print on anything and everything!! And any print. I had forgotten all about Coldwater Creek. It used to be my favorite online store…but in my younger days most of their clothes were out of my budget. I need to check them out again and maybe pick up one or two things that are unique to them. Their pieces are so well made and last a lifetime.

Your pup is certainly an adorable accessory. I am doing drop in visits with a German shepherd-chow mix and she is like a teddy bear. Softest auburn fur. I will miss her when our visits come to an end tomorrow.

    • Leslie,

I am looking forward to seeing your sweet fur baby. ❣️🐾🐾

We have two Shelties. They are brothers. But Rex is always within sight of me. And I have found it easier to allow him to be part of the photos.🤣

  2. Those jeans are a great fit on you! I am with you on sticking to the basics, that’s kind of my weekend outfit formula and I look forward to it every week. Also, comfy shoes are a must, especially if you are walking all over the place. Happy fall weekend.

    • I agree with you, Jackie. Fall is a great time for getting creative with layering items for lots of unique and fun looks.
