Wide-Leg Jeans – Tips on How to Wear Them

On-Trend – Wide-Leg Jeans

You may have heard the rumor that the trend in jeans is changing. And we are saying goodbye to our beloved skinny jeans. Hello once again to a wider leg in our pants and jeans! Have no fear, you are not being asked to throw out your skinny jeans in favor of the new trend. But, you may find the change of shape refreshing. The wider leg jeans can actually lengthen the appearance of your legs and highlight the waistline. But, before you go shopping for this new trend, here are a few tips on how to incorporate this fun new trend of flared wide-leg jeans into your wardrobe.

Tip #1: Tuck in your top.

When wearing a wider leg in your jeans, it is all-important to maintaining a proper balance in your silhouette. And the easiest way to do that is by tucking in your top. Instant waistline! Just the opposite of when wearing those skinny jeans with the tunic tops. It’s all about proportions and balance.

Tip #2: Wear a Belt

Another exciting way to accentuate the waistline is to add an interesting belt.

Tip #3: Consider the Wash of the Jean

A quality pair of wide-leg jeans will serve you well for many seasons. If you are looking for a more formal look then a dark wash is your answer. And, a soft light wash is perfect for those casual summer affairs. Whenever, the shade you choose, you will be right on trend for spring-summer 2021.

Tip #4: Remember the Shoes

Once again, we are back to balance the outfit. And the right shoe will draw the eye to the hemline adding the perfect spark to your outfit! Don’t be afraid to keep it interesting! Wear those clunking shoes, strapping sandals, and wedge heels.

    • Gwen,

It is fun and refreshing to be trying some new styles this spring. I am thinking that these wide legs are going to be much cooler for us Florida Gals this summer!

    • Mirelle,

I am short waisted with long skinny legs. Because, I carry my excess weight in my thick waist, I must be careful how I style the wider leg pants.

  2. I love this look on you! Perfect! I love the higher waist and wide leg on jeans now. I don’t have to constantly pull my jeans over my muffin top and they hide it so well. So much more comfortable and easier to get off and on. Those days of rolling on the floor trying to get skinny jeans off my ankles are over for the most part. ha ha.

    Peace!

  3. As much as I love my skinny jeans, I really do kind of love all jean styles equally! The wide legged trend is so fun right now. I love these jeans you are wearing and the style tips are perfect! I have a similar pair that I have a feeling will be on my body weekly this spring and summer! Thanks for sharing and linking with me, Rosemary.
