When a group of my Instagram friends suggested we do a collaboration showing how we style our winter accessories, I stopped for a moment with second thoughts. My first thoughts to come to mind when thinking of winter accessories were hats and mittens. Then it occurred to me that many of my ladies will be thinking of winter vacations and spring break to Florida. So I am giving my first Spring 2022 post on Winter Accessories in Florida.
As you can see in North Florida in Mid-February we have experienced a hard frost. The grass has lost its green as temperatures dropped to 23 F overnight a couple of weeks ago. But have no fear, the azaleas are starting to bloom and the trees will be in full leaf in the next couple of weeks. Yes, as you leave the snow in the north for your spring break, you will find Springtime here in North Florida.
Winter Accessories in Florida – Sunglasses and Hats
My two number one accessories in Florida are always hats and sunglasses! Eye and skin protection is so important. Always remember to pack these items.
Now for this post, I am shopping my closet with a dress for last year. Also, my jewelry is from previous years. And my most exciting accessories are Christmas gifts from my kids. This unique, colorful tote and these comfy Charleston Shoe Co. wedges.
When planning your winter/spring trip to Florida, think comfort. Also, think of lightweight and wrinkle-free fabrics. You can take a look at a few casual dresses from last season, here .
Keep it Simple!
And use your Florida accessories to jazz up your outfits. A rooming and colorful bag will bring fun and smiles to your outfits. Plus, comfortable shoes are a must and add style to your looks.
It Does Get Cool!
Remember, it does get cooler in the eveings and in air-conditioned stores and resturants. So, a stylish, colorful, sweatshirt, sweater, or wrap are a great Florida accessories.

Hi Rosemary,
Many friends have reached out asking about dressing for winter in Florida. There is a unwritten rule about looking too summery even in warmer temps. Thanks for enlightening us on the subject.
You are so right about being too summery in winter.
I see so many get surprised when visiting and having packed their tropical outfits money to find the temps are in the 50s and 60s in January and February in North Florida.

I love the coral colors and the iconic “Florida” tote.
