The Denim Jacket – 2021

Come spring and summer, once again denim becomes a top choice when choosing jackets. With its wide variety of looks from which to choose denim jackets have a style for everyone. You can choose from a dark rinse, light rinse, colored denim, white denim and don’t forget the different sizes and cuts. Yes, you are sure to find the perfect jacket to fit your needs. Truthfully, a traditional denim jacket is the perfect third layer from Spring to Fall!

I bet you didn’t know that the denim jacket has been around for over 141 years. Yes, Levi Strauss, the inventor of our much-loved blue jeans created it back in 1880. Now the jeans and jackets were the working man’s uniform of the day. Cowboys, railroad workers, and miners wore them. Who would have imagined back then that these simple denim items would become fashion statements and staples in almost everyone’s wardrobe!

There are as many ways to style your denim as there are varieties of denim. You can easily find jackets in prints, patterns, colors and one of my favorites white. I wrote a post last year on different ways to wear your jean jacket .

When styling your denim on denim a very simple trick is to make sure that one denim color is a lighter shade of denim than the other. I prefer a lighter denim jacket paired with darker jeans.
