Front Porch Coffee Chat 5/8/2020
Week One of Phase One
Okay, here we are again. Great to see you! It’s been a bit of a different week, but nothing extraordinary happening here. SURPRISE!!!! Because for us folks here in Florida it is Week One of Phase One of life after Quarantine. Staying at home or whatever you call it. I am so glad that we are finally moving forward with our baby steps into week one. It is not so much that we are doing anything different. Personally, it’s a basically huge lift mentally for me. And now, I am excited to hear all about your week, so grab your cup of choice and meet me on the porch for this week’s Front Porch Coffee Chat
Here in north Florida during week one of phase one, we are wearing masks when going into public places. Stores and restaurants are open to 25% capacity. And everyone is practicing social distancing of 6 feet.
Now, for my reality check. Nothing much has changed for me. Since I don’t work outside my home, I went out only a few times. Grocery shopping is a weekly thing with the same process as before Phase One. I am wearing a mask while inside the store, which is at 25% occupancy.
Next, I visited my doctor for my annual physical exam, which was scheduled for March and rescheduled to May because of the Coronavirus. So happy to report the entire visit was professional all the way…masks, hand sanitizer, wipes, distancing, questions and cleaning, and more cleaning.
Now, I am making all those appointments that we discussed in our coffee chat a couple of weeks ago.
I enjoy walking through our local nursery and seeing all the plants and garden fixtures. We did get our mulch ordered for delivery, but that won’t be happening until June. Again, I am looking to work on my list and supporting our local businesses. Powerwashing is next on that scheduling list!
Cheers to the weekend!
Just in case you missed out on Cinco de Mayo in week one of phase one, the weekend is ready to begin so you can still celebrate with a little Mexican food or drink.
Are you ready to kick off the weekend with a skinny adult cocktail? Well, here’s a good one. It’s a recipe from Amanda Nighbert’s LEAN Program that I have been sharing with you. Healthy doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the deliciousness of life!

Find of the week
Microderma Mitts
Lastly, I’ve some amazing finds to share with you today!
Recently, Microderma Mitts sent me several of their exfoliating mitts and asked me to review them. So here goes…here is my final review.
- Exfoliating Body Mitt – After using it my skin feels so much smoother with a radiant glow. It deeply exfoliates the dry, dead skin, and cleans the pores of oil, soap, and lotions. Personally, I never thought of products building up on my skin.
- Exfoliating Face Mitt – Like the body mitt, the face mitt removes the dead skin cells and cleanses the skin deeply. All the while only using water. It’s even gentle enough for even sensitive skin.
- Makeup Remover Mitt – Again, I am only using water and the mitt removes all my makeup and deep cleans my face, even waterproof mascara. So simple and easy!
Ultimately, using the Microderma Mitts exfoliating and cleaning the skin has never been easier. They consist of 100% Floss Silk fibers. Plus, they are 100% natural, hypoallergenic, and Dermatologist recommended. Another good thing is, I can use them for up to 6+ months vs. those single-use wipes or products that may use toxic or synthetic products. I am using the mitt and JUST WATER!
Now, if your goal is healthier, younger-looking skin, and want your expensive skincare products to work more effectively vs. sitting on top of your dry skin. Then give them a try. I did, and I am happy with the results!
