Today’s outfits are all shopped from my closet. And you may recognize a few items from past posts. I will provide links to currently available items.

#1 Layering Outfit – Denim Jacket

The ever-popular denim jacket is an item that can be found in most of our wardrobes regardless of our age or location. I have loved and worn it as a top layer since I was a teenager. (That’s a long time!)

These versatile jackets make the ideal third item for layering fall fashion in Florida. They work well with casual outfits such as jeans and are fantastic when layered over our summer dresses.

I featured this iconic Gap Jacket and my Ariat Western ankle boots in the September Ageless Style with a sundress. The white shirt is my base layer and it is a few years old. So it is no longer in stock. Although the jeans were purchased this spring, the ones currently in stock at Anthropologie are a shade darker for the fall.

Lastly, if you are interested in the Tartan Plaid bag, it was a birthday gift in 2005. The brand is Coach, and I love pulling it out for the fall and winter Holidays. If you like the style, I found a similar one by Lily Pulitzer at Target.

#2 For Causal Layering – Linen Blazer

Florida Fashion and linen items are made for each other. Yes, it gets cool to cold in the mornings here in North Florida, and it can be hot in the afternoon. And that is why layering a loose-fitting linen blazer is ideal for Fall in Florida.

As previously stated, I aim to build a functional, working wardrobe. I want to share when I find new items that work for me, and you also see items that are on repeat season after season. I believe striving for quality over quantity is our best option for enjoying our purchases and lives.

My linen blazer is another Anthropologie find from last year that is no longer in stock. The white top is a favorite from Chico’s. My loafers are from Sarah Flint NYC, and the jeans are from the Mother brand. I enjoy layering these separates for a classic Florida Fall look.

#3 Try Monochromatic Fall Florida Fashions

Wear black if you need to go almost anywhere in Florida this fall. Black or any other monochromatic combination will work. Again, you have seen these jeans and sleeveless shirt along with this Tommy Bahama linen jacket in previous posts this summer.

When living or visiting in Florida, layering with a third layer, such as a jacket, completes the outfit and provides comfort indoors in air conditioning and outside in the heat and cold.

    • Airconditioning adds another reason for layering a third layer in Florida.🤣
The linen blazer is the viewers choice!✨✨✨

    • Mireille,
You have made a wise choice to take a variety of layers weights. The weather can be a bit fickle this time of year.

  1. You are one classy lady, Rosemary. I think you could put on a potato sack and make it look chic and stylish. Love the eyelet blouse peeking out from under your great denim jacket. I have my denim jacket on right now. It is just the right weight for chilly autumn evenings. And our weather is so fickle that we have the heat on in the morning and the AC in the afternoon. That linen jacket would be the answer to prayers!! Need to find one pronto.

    • Leslie,
Thank you for your sweet compliments. You are one the kindest ladies I know.
Denim jackets are one of my favorite go-to items. As I stated earlier I’ve been sporting mine since I was a teen.

  2. These are all really good ideas and such staples to have in your closet. Also I was so drawn to your red boots. They are fabulous!

    • It all depends on where you are in Florida. The temps can drop in North Florida. We had overnight temps in the low 30s F a few nights last week. The good news is the cooler temps never last long.
