Hi there and welcome back! Today we are going to discuss how to wear a tunic shirt. Yes, tunics are still on trend and a perfect addition to any fashionable wardrobe. This amazing hip-length shirt can pair beautifully with a variety of different bottom styles. Tunic shirts look amazing with leggings, slacks, skirts, jeans, and even shorts!
“Traditionally, “a tunic is a garment for the body, usually simple in style, reaching from the shoulders to a length somewhere between the hips and the knees.” Because of it’s loose fit, it can be style many different way and is perfect for most body types.
Now, let’s take a look at a few ways of styling my one white tunic shirt. I purchased my white shirt from Anthropologie early this spring. Unfortunately, it is no longer available but I will be sure to link a few comparable ones .
Think About Adding A Belt
By adding a belt with a tunic shirt we can create a unique and classy look. Since the belt draws the eye to to waist it helps to define your waistline and flatters the feminine shape.
First, I styled my belt under my tunic shirt and allowed the shirt to flow loosely. Then for the second look, I buttoned a couple of buttons at the waist and added the belt over my tunic shirt.

Now get creative and sort through your belt collection. I found my white one stored in my closet. It was purchased at Chico’s many years ago. And it’s still in great shape and stylish.
Tunic Shirt with Shorts for a Unique and Casual Vibe
Okay, the long and short of it is adding a tunic shirt over your shorts and tee, you create a memorable summer outfit. Wanting to feel cool and comfortable in your summer shorts? But, maybe you are feeling a bit too exposed. Well the easy solution is to add a lightweight tunic shirt as your third layer. You will be glad you did.
The simple addition of a third layer, brings an everyday outfit up a notch. By adding the white tunic shirt over a simple tank top and shorts this outfit is out the door ready!
Wear a Tunic Shirt as a Swimsuit Cover-up
When you have a nice basic white tunic shirt, you are set for a fun active day at the beach or pool. The tunic shirt makes a classic and stylish swimsuit coverup. Plus, once you are finished swimming, it works great as shirt over your shorts or jeans on the way home.

Last but never least, the tunic shirt pairs perfectly with Jeans!

I really like it over the pants with the belt over or under. I still haven’t found one that I like but then I haven’t actively look: the same with a chambray button down.
The belt breaks the line and adds a bit of interest!
