When thinking of Valentine’s Day, many of our thoughts turn to romance, gifts, cards, and chocolate hearts. Yet, not everyone has that special someone in their lives on Valentine’s Day. But with a little thought, we can make sure that we have a Valentine’s for everyone!

Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love in all its glorious splendor. And unlimitedness of love comes is shapes and sizes. Romantic love is the first thing that pops into our minds when we think of Valentine’s Day. But, it is also a delightful chance to show others in our lives just how much they mean to us.

Here are a few ideas to help you make a Valentine for everyone who counts in your life.

Show gratitude – Showing appreciation for your family, friends, and co-workers is always a welcome act of love.

Be giving of your time send a card or text message to someone that’s alone – It doesn’t need to be a fancy card, a text message says, I’m thinking of you. Your elderly Aunt will be so excited to receive a pretty card in the mail.

Give without expecting anything in return, be selfless. – This is your special gift to yourself.

Spoil someone and allow yourself to be spoiled – It is said that ” It is better to give than to receive”. But remember it is a gift to allow someone to be a giver

Host a get together with friends – Spend some special time with your friends. They will be so happy that you want to be with them.

Spend an evening with kids – Movie night and lots of laughs and snacks. Enjoy those moments what will be the memories in the future.

Valentine’s Day Heart Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars Recipe

An easy heart-shaped Valentine’s Day dessert. Equipment

  • 3″ Heart-shaped cookie cutter

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted butter melted and cooled
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup Valentine M&M’s
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cups flour

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a 9×9 baking dish with foil. Spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Slowly fold in the flour and baking powder.
  • Add in the chocolate chips and Valentine M&M’s.chocolate chip cookie recipe with candy and chocolate chips
  • Pour the cookie dough into the prepared baking dish and press a few extra chocolate chips and Valentine M&M’s on top.chocolate chip cookie recipe batter in pan
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely before cutting into heart shapes.
  • Once the cookie bars have cooled, gently lift them from the baking dish using the foil.
  • Use the Heart cookie cutter to cut out the cookie bars and close together as possible alternating the cookie cutter up and down.

      It was a great long weekend here in the US. We celebrated Valentine’s Day on Friday and Presidents Day on Monday. A wonderful winter break in the routine!
