My Summer So Far

As summer goes, this one is scoring as a winner so far. In June, Rick and I enjoyed an amazing trip to Italy. We were in Rome, visited Florence, and traveled down to the Amalfi Coast. I have so much more to share that I will post in installments.

Recently, I shared what I wore on the plane to Italy.

Summer and Movies

Summer and movies are made for each other. And when my boys -grandsons are in town, going to the movies is a fun way to spend time together. My friends with daughters and granddaughters are all about the Barbie movie. But my guys are into action. We saw Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. I loved it! Especially the scenes shot in Italy.

We also took in The Flash, with its lots of action and cameo appearances. A perfect excuse to spend some time with a young teen.

Are You A Podcast Listener?

When out on my daily walk, I love chatting with neighborhood friends, walking my dogs, or having some quiet time to myself. And many days, I enjoy listening to podcasts. Well, I have stumbled across a new favorite, and I have to share it with you.

It is Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Julia is now 62 years old, asking, “Why don’t we hear more from older women.” In each episode, she chats with the likes of Carol Burnett, Diane von Furstenberg, Jane Fonda, and more. She asks questions on how to live a whole and meaningful life at all ages. I find it delightful and exciting. And you may like it too.

Summer Outfit Of The Week

With the temperatures soaring into the 90s, my outfit of the week follows the Keep It Simple Sweetie rule—a carefree linen shirtdress and sandals. One and Done with summer dresses was the topic of discussion with my Ageless Style group this month.
