Hello It’s July

Hello It's July from the Front Porch Coffee Chat

Hello, it’s July! Can you believe it? We are now in the second half of 2020. And, we will be celebrating the 4th of July this weekend! It’s amazing how fast the summer is ticking along. Well, it’s a good time for us to catch up. So, let’s take a few minutes to grab some coffee and head outside for our Front Porch Coffee Chat!

4th of July

Well, the 4th of July is here! With the current state of COVID 19 slowing things down around the country, most of our celebrations are smaller and quieter this year. But, with the true American spirit, we will celebrate wisely, and safely. Our celebration with be a barbeque at home.

My July Goal

Alright, I am going to admit it, I have slipped into a slump with my exercise program over the past few weeks.

Usually, I am an avid walker. Especially because I have my two Shelties, who require daily exercise. And I am blessed to live in an area with great walking spaces. My issue is with keeping in line with social distancing; they want to be social. That is getting pets, hellos, and love from everyone we meet. Plus, more folks are walking, and they have children and dogs with them. Typically, this is a beautiful thing. But with social distancing, it is becoming a chore keeping the boys from pulling and getting excited.

Now, not to fret, I have an easy solution to this dilemma. They get to go for a ride to my son’s home where they can run unleased on acres of green grass. As for me, I find it so very easy to sit back on the porch and watch them run and play.

So now, it’s hello July, I’ve got on my walking shoes! And I plan on walking every day this month. If you have a minute, read my post this week on Falling in Love with Walking. I’ve got 10 good reasons to be outside walking. And I bet you do too!

Last weekend brought the Builder’s Spring/Summer Parade of Homes to town. I always look forward to this event. I get excited about touring the new homes and seeing the latest in colors, decor, and everything uniquely new!

Once again because of the onset of COVID 19 in the spring the parade was delayed until June. All safety precautions were observed. Masks, handsanatizer, and social distancing were part of the day.

Here, I am sharing with you a few peeks into a couple of homes. I loved the walk-in closet! What girl doesn’t dream of a closet with not one but two chandeliers in her own private closet? I do apologize, my photo only shows one chandelier, but there are two!

And, what do you think of the camper bunk bed? What child is not going to love it? A furnished playhouse inside the camper and a bunk bed on the top!
