Spring Forward – Intermittent Fasting & LEAN

Well, here we are on the brink of Spring 2022! Today we begin Daylight Savings Time, in one week we mark the first day of Spring, and in 5 short weeks it’s Easter. Presently, I am finding myself at a crossroads in my eating patterns. And, I need a little help from my friends. So, I am back with the Intermittent Fasting and LEAN program.

My new year started great. Then a bit of dental work in February changed up my eating patterns for two weeks. Of course soft foods call for lots of carbs! I was eating delicious creamy mac and cheese with lots of soft breads. Now you get the picture. Then two weeks turn into three and so on and so on. Here I am in need of some accountability.

Now if you have been following me for a while, you are aware that I have been working with Amanda Neigbert doing intermittent fasting and the LEAN program since March 2018. It is a lifestyle change that I have been sharing with you all along the way. For the record I am down 17 pounds. Here is my post from 2021.

LIVING ENERGIZED AND NOURISHED

I bet you are wondering why LEAN?

Well, LEAN means Living Energized and Nourished. Fortunately, I am now within my ideal weight range for my age and height. But, I do need build muscle and bone density. Plus, eating healthy and well balanced meals mean that I am nourishing and energizing my body and mind.

For me the LEAN program with Amanda works! Since, I have completed her 7 week started program, I can come back at any time for one month or more refresh.

This is where the accountably comes into play. I belong to a group. We follow the program of intermittent fasting, counting our macros, exercising and recording our progress daily.

If you are any thing like me, you know how and what to do… I but procrastinate!

This is what works for me. Plus, it helps Hubby too!

    • Hi Michele,

The intermittent fasting works well for my husband and myself. Right now we are in need of reminders to have low carb days and exercise.

  1. I’ve been working on intermittent fasting for the past 3 weeks. I did shed some pounds I had gained in the last 6 months but now need to continue and add some toning exercises. I haven’t run much lately because of issues with my shins but need to pick up my weights and do some routines in my room: I have all I need but haven’t done it =(

  2. I’ve heard such great things about this program. I do intermittent fasting and it’s helped me, but I probably should be better about carbs. Way to stay on target with your goals and keep yourself in check!

  3. Great progress on your weight loss goals!
I love doing intermittent fasting and have lost 6 pounds.
I just need to get back to serious exercising and using weights again.
